CHAMBER UPDATE                           Week of January 25, 2021

Office Space Available: The City of Long Branch Office of Community and Economic Development, Director Jacob Jones, will be moving out of the Chamber’s second floor office in the next few months.  The Chamber is looking to rent the office space.  If you are in need of office space or know someone who is interested in leasing office space please call Todd Katz, RE/MAX Synergy, at 732-768-3329.  He has all the details about the space the Chamber is renting.

Restaurant Owners: NJRHA and DoorDash To Partner on $500K Grant Program for NJ Restaurants

DoorDash announced it is donating $500,000 to the NJRHA to award grants to restaurants to help them offset costs amidst cold weather and ongoing COVID-related challenges.  Restaurants can use the funding to pay rent, purchase cold weather equipment, PPE, and other items. The grant applications will be available by February 1 on the NJRHA website, http://www.njrha.org.  The grants will be awarded to independent restaurants that have five or fewer locations and can show a loss of at least 30% from 2019. The criteria for the grant is outlined on the application.

 Activities for Chamber / Fundraiser:  The Chamber is looking for ideas for activities and fundraisers we can host during the COVID-19 that are safe and fun.  If you have any ideas, please contact the Chamber Office at 732-222-0400.

Building Committee Report: The Chamber working on obtaining price quotes for the repairs for the building.  This will be a spring project for the work to be done.
