Board of Directors Elections: The following were elected to the Board of Directors for the Greater Long Branch Chamber of Commerce.  For a three-year term: Fatima Camacho, Investors Bank; Ted Friedli, Excel Travel; Nicole Gilford, Pier Village; Todd Katz, RE/MAX Synergy; Lisa Kelly, Long Branch Free Public Library; Aaron Levine, LG Insurance; and Howard Steel, Stelair Design Corp.  For a one-year term: Veronica Buffalo Stubbs, A.S.T.E.P.; Darren Davis, John Guire Co.; Jeff Wosleger, Budget Blinds.  The new Executive Committee is as follow:  President, Pauline Poyner, Heritage House Sotheby’s; Vice President, Ed Johnson, Brookdale Community College; Second Vice President, Esther Cohen, Cedars and Beeches Bed and Breakfast Inn; Secretary, Lisa Borghese, 1st Constitution Bank; Treasurer, Paul Dement, Monmouth University; Past President, Patty O’Neill, Link News.  Please welcome these new and returning Board Members and Executive Board Members.  The Meet the Board Members reception normally in January is being postponed until restrictions are lifted and we can meet in person.

Activities for Chamber / Fundraiser:   Pauline Poyner is asking our members if they could recommend ideas for fundraisers / activities for the Chamber to do since due to the pandemic, we will not be able to host many of our yearly fundraisers / activities (ie. Breakfast Club Meeting:  Our next Breakfast Club Meeting is on Wednesday, January 6, 2021.  Because of the spike in COVID-19 numbers we are resuming the Zoom Breakfast Club meeting.  The speaker is Jeff Wosleger, Budget Blinds of Long Branch. Networking Event: Because of COVID-19 and new regulations, we will not be hosting Networking Events.  We will start up again when the restrictions are lifted, and we can meet in person.

Building Committee Report:  At this time, we only received one bid for the building Project.  After I advised the Building Committee, they offered more names of contractors.  We are waiting to hear from the additional contractors.   They have been contacted and advised that this will be a spring project.  We are in the process of applying for the mortgage with 1st. Constitution Bank.
